KASUR: Police claim to have arrested a 55- year- old man for allegedly raping a boy at Zaheerabad locality on Sunday.

The suspect took the minor boy to a deserted place on the pretext of giving him a pair of pigeons and allegedly raped him.

He made good his escape when the child raised hue and cry. Some people shifted the boy to the Chunian THQ hospital where he is stated to be stable.

Initial medical report confirmed the rape after which police arrested the suspect.

GANG SMASHED: The Kot Radha Kishan police claimed to have smashed a gang of robbers by arresting four of its members at Hindal Chowk on Sunday.

Police said they arrested the gangsters when they had hidden themselves in field near Hindal Chowk to rob the passersby. Those arrested were Riaz, Khalid, Munir and Umerdaraz.

DPO Imran Kishwar constituted a team for the arrest of the accomplice of the robbers.

ROBBERY: A gang of robbers took away gold, cash and other valuables worth about Rs1 million from a house at Shakeel Town on Sunday.

The robbers broke into the house of Tofeeq Ahmed and took away eight tolas of gold ornaments, 500 grams of silver bars, Rs50,000 in cash and other valuables.
