GUJAR KHAN: Three minor girls lost their lives when their mother attempted suicide by jumping into a well along with them in Guliyana area of Gujar Khan on Saturday afternoon.

According to details, the woman had a quarrel with her husband on Friday night after which she took the drastic step.

Gujar Khan police reached the spot along with Rescue 1122 and retrieved the bodies of the girls from the well while the woman was shifted to a hospital in critical condition.

According to police sources, the bodies of Rida, five, Nida, three and six-month-old Anita were shifted to Gujar Khan Tehsil Headquarters Hospital.

Police have started investigations into the tragic incident.

Gujar Khan SHO Khizar Hayat said a murder and attempted cases were being registered against the woman.
