QUETTA: A passing-out ceremony of new recruits of the Levies force was held at the Khuzdar Levies Force training centre on Friday.
According to officials, 600 recruits from nine districts of Balochistan, along with 24 women constables, completed the four-month training.
Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani distributed certificates and shields among the passing-out recruits.
Speaking at the ceremony, CM Alyani said personnel of Levies and other security forces had sacrificed their lives for restoration of law and order in the country and for its prosperity. He said their sacrifices, especially for Balochistan, could never be forgotten.

“The nation pays tribute and salutes the gallantry and courage of the country’s brave soldiers,” he said.
According to him, Levies Force has a magnificent history. He said the provincial government was committed to providing all necessary gadgets and technical support to Levies Force. The government would continue to equip the force with the latest equipment for smooth running of the law and order machinery.
He said a new Levies training centre had been inaugurated in Kuchlaq area of Quetta and funds allocated for it had been released.
“The provincial government is committed to bringing about a progressive and better change in the system. We must take measures for the development of the province. The provincial government has initiated a reform programme.”
Mr Alyani praised the recruits and expressed pleasure that women of Balochistan were now entering all fields.
Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs Mir Zia Ahmed Langove, Chairperson of the Quetta Development Authority Bushra Rind, MPA Mir Naseebullah Khan Marri and Director General Levies Force, Balochistan, Mujeebur Rehman Qambrani attended the passing out ceremony.
Earlier, CM Alyani administered the oath to the passing out recruits of Balochistan Levies Force.
On the occasion, soldiers exhibited different drills.
