Toll plaza issues

Published November 22, 2020

THE toll plaza on Multan-Lahore Motorway on the latter side has become a nuisance for the daily commuters. I travelled from the Samundri Interchange to Lahore and the time it took me to travel was less than the time I spent on the toll plaza.

The queue is usually more than half a kilometre long. This torture is inflicted daily on the commuters when toll collection can easily be managed in a much better manner. Is this the correct way to manage these facilities in this day and age of technology and automation? Why can’t the National Highway Authority (NHA) have one toll-collection point on the main toll plaza?

It reflects poorly on the NHA’s working. I request the authorities concerned to take immediate action to resolve this issue.
