KARACHI, Oct 1: Five ships carrying DAP fertilizer, chemicals and base oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources. Berthing was active at the wharves where nine vessels were berthed to unload sugar and unload and load containers and general cargo. They are: Great Calm, Ocean Peace to offload sugar, Golden Express, Iran Shaharyar, Wester Muehlen, Wan Hai-261, and Sagamore to unload and load containers, Ghadeer to load cement, and Iron Butterfly to offload and load general cargo.

Sailing was also active as 10 ships, Kota Teraju, Eax Sanctity, Golden Express, Pac Antila, Makra, Ajman Trans, Chem Pisces, Iron Butterfly, Serife and Hyderabad departed, while Sagamore, Johar, Star inventana, Wan Hai-261, Iran Shahryar, Ocean Island, Egretta, Maersk Arizona, Thor Captain, Western Muehlen, and Thor Captain are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side totalling 0.113m tons comprising 28,386 tons of export cargo including 4,332 tons of rice and 84,535 tons of import tonnage, which also include 5,282 tons of sugar.

The following vessels are due on Sunday: Al-Marwah, with chemicals, Harsanadi, with base oil, Lalazar, with crude oil, Tong Hai, with DAP fertilizer and Jaipur, with trucks.

The following ships are due on Monday: Bow de Jin, with chemicals, Corin Thaikos, Hanjin, Busan, Ever Guide and Khairpur to unload and load containers.
