Shadab to miss first ODI

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s newly-appointed limited-overs vice-captain Shadab Khan has been ruled out of the first One-day International against Zimbabwe due to fitness issues, the national cricket board announced on Wednesday night.

The Pakistan Cricket Board PCB)’s medical team said Shadab wont’ play any part in the opening fixture of the three-match series at the Pindi Cricket Stadium after he experienced stiffness in his left upper-leg during the first intra-squad warm-up match in Lahore last Friday.

Leg-spinner Shadab will continue to be treated and rehabilitation regime and a further update will be provided ahead of the second ODI, a PCB spokesman said.
