BAJAUR: Two youth were killed and two others wounded in separate road accidents in Bajaur tribal district, Rescue 1122 officials said here on Saturday.

Amjad Khan, in-charge Rescue 1122 service in Khar, said a student of government degree college, Barkholozo Mamond, died when a vehicle hit his motorcycle in Naway Kallay area on the Khar-Mamond Road.

He said the victim, Mohammad Ibrahim Khan, 19, was on way home along with a friend from the college.

He said that the student died before reaching a nearby hospital.

His friend was slightly wounded in the accident. Also in the day, a youth, 22, died after a speeding vehicle hit the motorcycle he was riding near Lovi Sam area.

Local residents said that Shahid Khan was on way home when a vehicle hit his bike from behind at a turn.

The deceased had also been part of the anti-polio drives for last several months.

The youth succumbed to injuries before a team of Rescue 1122 arrived at the spot.

Meanwhile, a youth was also wounded critically when his bike crashed onto a tree in Haji Lawang area on the Khar-Dir Road.

A Rescue 1122 team shifted the wounded to the District Headquarters Hospital, Khar.
