KARACHI: A man was shot dead over “personal enmity” in the Ibrahim Hyderi area on Saturday, said police.

They added that Nasir Khan, 25, was shot and killed by a lone armed motorcyclist near Juma Puliya. The body was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre to fulfill medico-legal formalities.

Area SHO Chaudhry Shahid said the victim was a junk dealer.

He and his two colleagues were returning after having a meal at a restaurant on a motorbike when the gunman on a bike opened fire on him from behind and fled.

The deceased originally hailed from Kohat. The officer added that the victim had personal enmity at his native place and the murder appeared to be its outcome.

Two held in woman’s murder case

Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two suspects involved in the murder of a woman in North Nazimabad, adds PPI.

The police claimed to have resolved the mystery surrounding the murder of Fatima, daughter of Feroz Bangali, who was shot and killed in North Nazimabad Block A on October 19.

SSP Central Arif Aslam said two suspects Shakeel and Bilal alias Billi, were traced with the help of a jacket.

The incident was not a result of enmity but a street crime, he added.

The police said the suspects spotted a car carrying four girls near the Board Office and started chasing it on a bike. He said motorcyclists Shakeel and Bilal were chasing the car upon which the women tried to speed away. The suspects opened fire, which killed a woman.
