TOBA TEK SINGH: Ten dacoits looted two adjacent houses in Gojra’s Chak 361-JB late on Sunday and took away cash, gold ornaments and other valuables worth millions.

House owner Ishaq told reporters that the outlaws entered his house by breaking the drawing-room’s door and tied the family with ropes. They took away 30,000 Saudi riyal, Rs300,000, gold ornaments worth Rs2 million and other valuables. The other house owner, Tufail, said the same dacoits jumped into his house from the roof and looted valuables.

Also, two gunmen shot at and injured Husnain Ahmad on Pirmahal-Shorkot Cantonment Road on Monday when he offered resistance. He was admitted to the DHQ Hospital.

ACCIDENT: A security guard of the family of Pakistan Tehreek Insaf MPA Bilal Asghar Warraich died and three others were injured seriously when their car rammed into a trailer on M-4 in the wee hours on Monday.

Rescue 1122 reported that MPA’s nephew Barrister Hassam Ali Warraich (son of former MNAs Amjad Ali Warraich and Begum Farkhanda Amjad Warraich ) was on his way to Faisalabad by a car while his guards were escorting him in a separate car. When they were five kilometres from Gojra, the car of guards rammed into a trailer and was completely damaged.

Rescuers cut the steel body of the car with an electric cutter and shifted the four injured guards to the Gojra tehsil headquarters hospital where Nazeer Ahmad, of Chak 315-JB, succumbed to his injuries while doctors referred the other three injured to Faisalabad’s Allied Hospital.

They were identified as Shan Ali, Taufeeq Ahmad and Muhammad Riaz.
