Gaining from a convict

18 Oct 2020

IN view of th rising number of reported cases of rape in society, it is beyond debate that the culprits after due legal process must be made to face the strictest punishment. If history is anything to go by, this crime, or any other for that matter, will never stop. We can only control and decrease its incidence.

A rapist is a mentally sick person and he must not live to harm more people. However, before his death, his vital organs, like kidneys, heart, lungs, pancreas and bone marrow, may be salvaged and transplanted to the needful on merit.

This is the minimum gain achievable from a healthy convict. A national debate followed by a referendum on this topic may be useful to the nation.
