They added that the bodies of Abdul Kareem, 35, and Ashiq Khan, 22, with bullet wounds were found from a graveyard in Bakhtawar Goth. They were taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre to fulfil medico-legal formalities.

Area SHO Mohammed Zahid Kamboh said that both the victims had worked as labourers at the Karachi Port Trust. However, they were “drug addicts” and had been kicked out by their families recently from their homes.

Man kills daughter

A man, who had allegedly killed his wife and was recently released from prison, murdered his teenage daughter on Friday off National Highway as she reportedly didn’t want to live with her father, said police.

They added that 15-year-old Tuba was stabbed and killed by her father Murad in a Quaidabad locality.

Shah Latif SHO Ubaidullah Khan said that the suspect was arrested who had ‘confessed’ to killing his daughter and did not show any remorse.

The officer added that the deceased girl had gone missing recently and her father had also lodged her missing report with the police station. However, she was recovered by her father on Thursday but he did not inform the police. A scuffle broke out between them and the father stabbed her to death.

The officer recalled that the held suspect had also killed his wife.

He was arrested and released from prison a few months ago. The officer said that perhaps the daughter did not want to live with her father after the murder of her mother, which appeared to be the bone of contention between them.

She again wanted to leave home on Friday which infuriated the father who killed her.

The body was taken to the JPMC to fulfil medico-legal formalities.
