Liquor claims three lives

GUJRAT, Jan 19: Three people died after taking poisonous liquor in Burj Ghansian on Saturday.

The condition of Ansar, Sadiq and Hussain started deteriorating following the intake of locally-made alcohol. Neighbours took them to a hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Their bodies were sent to mortuary by area police for autopsy.

SHOT DEAD: Two outlaws on Friday night shot dead a man over a money dispute in Loran, Jalalpur Jattan.

Led by Mehmood, the outlaws opened fire on Mirza Munawar Baig and escaped. He died on the spot.

Meanwhile, Daulat Nagar police on Saturday arrested eight gamblers and recovered Rs11,000 stake money from their possession.
