LAHORE: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) on Tuesday announced Intermediate Part-II results of year 2020 under the government policy with the pass percentage of 99.43.

The students can check their result by texting their roll numbers on 80029.

As per the Lahore BISE data, as many as 191,280 students of Intermediate Part-II had submitted their admission forms for the annual examination 2020, while 163,969 were declared pass.

The results were also uploaded on the Lahore BISE website and the students could search their result by submitting their roll number on the portal.

BISE Chairman Prof Riaz Ahmad Hashimi told Dawn that the results were announced under the government promotional policy.

He said under the policy, all the students of the part-I were promoted to the part-II, while the part-II students were first given marks of the part-I with three percent increase in their marks.

He said the students who had appeared in the exam to improve their intermediate part-I or part-II marks or both were also declared as pass.

“If anyone was improving part-I marks, he or she was given the marks of his part-II exam and those improving part-II marks were given those of part-I,” he said. He added that those who were improving marks of both parts were given additional 3 percent increase in both parts of intermediate.

Mr Hashmi said the students who were appearing in the exam to for compartments in part-I and II were also declared as pass and were also given 3 pc increase in their marks.

Last week, all the nine BISEs in Punjab had announced the results of Secondary School Certificate (Matriculation) Annual Examinations 2020, simultaneously.
