SHANGLA: Eight more dengue positive cases reported from Bisham tehsil here on Tuesday taking the tally to 40.

Sources in the health department confirmed dengue outbreak in Bisham tehsil, saying Maira area was the worst affected, where over 30 cases had been reported.

They said teams were making efforts to control the disease but due to limited resources and lack of funds the cases were increasing with passage of time.

MAN KILLED: A man was killed in Sundvi area of Puran tehsil on Tuesday, police said.

In the first information report, complainant Mohammad Zarin stated that his son had gone to relatives in Sundvi area where he was killed by a man over suspicion that the victim had illicit relations with his sister.

Police have arrested the suspect.

The sister of the accused told a court that her brother killed the victim by striking his head with a stone.
