I CANNOT understand why Afghanistan is against Pakistan from the day we became independent! Afghanistan was the only country that voted against Pakistan when it sought United Nations membership on Sept 30, 1947. Pakistan on the other hand has always turned the other cheek. When the then Soviet Uniion invaded Afghanistan in 1979, Pakistan fully supported the Aghan people’s freedom struggle.

For decades Pakistan hosted more than three million refugees, providing them food, shelter, and everything else to the Afghan people but the Kabul government continues to spew hatred.

Pakistan is always the first country to help Afghanistan wholeheartedly, but Afghan rulers always speak in a language scripted in New Delhi.

Now, that peace in Afghanistan is round the corner, thanks mostly to Pakistan, Kabul is once again sowing seeds of hatred. The cosy relationship between India’s fascist prime minister Narendra Modi and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani are blatant proof of their animosity towards Pakistan.

They should remember Paksitan’s patience isn’t infinite and they should mend their ways before it runs out.
