MIRPURKHAS: Three family members of a bride were arrested on Thursday after she conveyed to the taluka police of Mirpurkhas that she was being married off to a person without her consent.
SHO Momal Leghari of the women police station said that upon receiving the 19-year-old woman’s complaint, a raid was conducted on the wedding venue near Bhatti Hotel along the Umerkot ring road and the bride was taken into custody.
Her three close relatives, Nabi Bux, Mir Mohammad and Abdul Rehman, were arrested, the SHO said.
