ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Law and Justice on Wednesday de-notified 19 law officers in grades 20 and 21, and replaced their vacated positions with new lawyers.

A notification issued by the law ministry stated that, from Islamabad, Additional Attorney General Khurram Saeed, Deputy Attorney General (DAG) Sohail Mahmood, Asghar Ali, Assistant Attorney General (AAG) Abdul Jabbar, Ruqia Samee and Kashif Bashir have been de-notified.

Other de-notified officers include DAG Shafi Mohammad Tariq, Malik Asrar Ellahi, Sarfraz Ali Khan, AAG Shaukat Ali and Afzaal Azeem Pahat from Lahore, AAG Fauzia Kausar from Multan, Ishrat Zahid Alvi, Durdana Tanweer and Mohammad Osman Ali Hadi from Karachi, and DAG Ahmed Saleem Khan and Javed Akhtar from Gilgit.

New appointees from Islamabad include Sohail Mahmood additional attorney general, Ayyaz Shaukat, Maulvi Ejazul Haq as DAQ, Sajid Hussain Mian, Mohammad Rashid Umar and Fayyaz Hussain as AAG for Islamabad, according to another notification.

Azmat Ali Khanzada, Tahir Mahmood Ahmed Khokhar, Rana Abdul Shakoor Khan as DAG, Mohammad Iqbal Sabri, and Mohammad Arshad Manzoor as AAG have been appointed for Lahore.

Mohammad Siddique has been appointed AAG for Multan, Gul Faraz Khan and Mohammad Ahmer as AAG for Peshawar, Amir Javed as DAG, Ahmed Saleem Khan, Mohammad Amjad Shehzad as AAG for Peshawar, Ashfaq Nabi Qazi as AAG Sukkur and Ahmed Mir as DAG Gilgit have also been notified by the ministry.
