KARACHI: KIIT holds convocation

KARACHI, Jan 19: The first convocation of the Karachi Institute of Information Technology (KIIT) was held here on Saturday.

As many as 49 students, who cleared MSc, BSc Honours and post-graduate diplomas in software development were awarded degrees and diplomas by the University of Huddersfield, UK, with which the KIIT is affiliated.

Provincial minister for finance, planning and development Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh presided over the convocation on behalf of the Sindh Governor.

Vice chancellor of the University of Huddersfield Prof John R. Tarrant, awarded the degrees and diplomas to the successful students. Pro-vice chancellor of the university Prof Barry Lee also attended the programme.—APP
