Protest against power outage

KHAIRPUR, Sept 20: Office-bearers of the Anjuman-e-Tajiran, Jagirta Forum and Shehri Ittehad of Abid Colony took out a procession here on Tuesday at the Civic Centre Chowk against Hesco for low voltage and power suspension for about 3 to 4 hours for 15 days. The protesters raised slogans against Hesco authorities.

Speaking on the occasion, Jagirta Forum president Syed Shakir Ali Shah, Aijaz Bhutto and others said due to break down and low voltage, electrical equipment, including tube-lights, fans, energy savers and computers have been damaged.

FIR LODGED: A lady police constable, Bakhtawar Shaikh, resident of the Mill Colony, Khairpur, has lodged an FIR under section 506/2 at the police station of B-Section against her husband.

She alleged that her husband, Ghulam Akbar, used to extort her salary and forced her to get 15 months salary in advance for him, when she refused, he pointed TT pistol on her and threatened to kill her.
