RAWALPINDI: Rescue teams have not been able to recover the body of a 12-year-old child who drowned in Leh Nullah on Tuesday, while 14-year-old drowned in Korang Nullah on Wednesday.

Rescue 1122 said that Asad Khan slipped into the water while playing on the banks of the nullah in Dhoke Ratta with other children and disappeared.

The search for him began soon after he disappeared on Tuesday, but had to be suspended unsuccessfully at sunset. It began again early Wednesday morning and continued until sunset, but was unsuccessful.

Also on Wednesday, a 14-year-old boy who was swimming in Korang Nullah drowned and died.

A rescue team searched for the boy but the operation was suspended at sunset.
