Sanjay Dutt asks fans not to speculate about his health

The actor shared he'll be taking time off work for a medical treatment while reports do the rounds about a lung cancer diagnosis

Sanjay Dutt has reportedly been diagnosed with third stage lung cancer and will be flying to the US to undergo a medical treatment.

While film trade analyst Komal Nahta broke the news on Twitter, the Munna Bhai actor has not confirmed details with his fans and followers; instead, he has asked them not to make conjectures.

"I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment," Dutt tweeted. "My family and friends are with me and I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. With your love and best wishes, I will be back soon."

Previously, the Kalank actor had taken to social media to announce that he had tested negative for coronavirus, and was doing well with the help of medical staff at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.

We wish the actor a speedy recovery.

In view of tremendous advancement in medical science, Cancer, known to be the Monarch of Maladies is no more considered to be un-assailable. It is now treated quite successfully if diagnosed well in time.
