QUETTA: Contrary to the announcement of the federal and provincial governments that all educational institutions in the country will open on Sept 15, the Balochistan Private Schools Association has announced opening their institutions on Aug 15.

“We do not accept the government’s decision about opening of educational institutions and will open our schools on Aug 15,” representatives of the association, Mohammad Nawaz Pandrani and Mir Bahadur Langove, said while speaking at a press conference on Thursday.

They announced that the associations had decided to reopen private schools on Aug 15.

In 33 districts of Balochistan, 36,000 teachers are employed in 2,850 private schools. They provide education to 700,000 students.
