CHAGAI: The Levies Force recovered four kidnapped Iranian nationals during an intelligence-based operation near Pak-Afghan border in Chagai district on Monday.

Speaking at a press conference at his office, Dalbandin Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Javed Domki said that the Iranian citizens had been abducted from Rothuk area of Khuwash near Pak-Iran border area 12 days ago due to a business dispute.

According to the official, the kidnappers escaped from the mountainous area after getting information about the raid. “The kidnapped people, who were kept at a deserted place, were safely recovered and a suspicious vehicle found there was seized by the Quick Response Team of Chagai Levies Force,” Mr Domki said.

The kidnapped people would be handed over to Iranian authorities after completing investigations and formal procedure, he added.

The kidnapped Iranian citizens were identified as Farhad, Naimat, Chakar and Nasir, residents of Khuwash.
