Inflation

Published July 10, 2020

I RECENTLY purchased tomatoes at the rate of Rs120 per kilogramme whereas a few days ago it was Rs70 per kg. Cucumber was purchased at Rs120 per kg, while last week it was being sold at Rs80 per kg.

The reason for this price hike given by the vegetable vendor was a sharp increase in the petrol price.

Last time when petroleum prices were reduced substantially none of these vendors reduced a single paisa on any product.

I wonder how this business mafia is able operate so shamelessly and without any remorse and fear without considering the misery of the people.
