RAWALPINDI: Police on Wednesday claimed to have traced the alleged killer of a lady health worker (LHW) who turned out to be her brother-in-law and wanted to marry her.

A lady health worker, participating in an anti-dengue campaign, was found murdered in her rented room in Sadiqabad on Thursday, police said.

Police said her brother-in-law wanted to marry her, but she turned down his proposal.

Police said the murder came to light when someone from her neighborhood called the police after her room started giving a stinking smell.

Police had launched investigation into the murder after registration of a case on the complaint of the deceased sister.

Separately, two motorcycle riders were killed in a road accident.

Police said Shah Zaib Ali and Allah Baksh were riding on a motorcycle when they were hit by a dumper coming from the wrong side.

The dumper driver managed to escape.
