Transfast, HBL join hands to facilitate remittances

KARACHI: Habib Bank Ltd (HBL) has partnered with Transfast to facilitate expatriates around the globe to remit money to Pakistan, said a press release issued on Tuesday.

The remittance facility between Transfast and the HBL is now available to the Pakistani expatriates and allow recipients to collect money from over 1,700 HBL branches across the country.

“Transfast is fully committed to offer competitive pricing, fast transfer of funds and personalised customer engagement,” said the company’s Managing Director Samir Vidhate.—Staff Reporter


DEG to acquire 20pc stake in TPL Insurance

KARACHI: TPL Insurance Ltd on Tuesday signed a letter of interest with Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft mbH (DEG) to sell 20 per cent equity share. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.

“Working with DEG the experience and expertise of the as a major institutional investor, TPL Insurance will reap the benefits of customised solutions best corporate governance practices, business support, risk management and environmental and social matters,” said the company’s CEO Muhammad Aminuddin.
