PESHAWAR: Peshawar boy excels in UN contest

PESHAWAR, Jan 18: Salaar Khan, a nine-year-old student in Peshawar, has been ranked third in an international poster making competition, held in New York by the United Nations Fund for Population.

Salaar Khan’s poster, depicting international issues relating to population, environmental and development, was judged the national winner and sent for the international competition.

He studies in class four at the Institute of Learning and Motivation.

In all, 61 countries participated in the competition with 321 entries.—APP
