KARACHI: In the aftermath of spike in the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) cases in the metropolis, the Karachi Race Club (KRC) has deferred resumption of races for at least two weeks, Dawn has learnt.
Earlier the KRC had announced to resume races after Eid-ul-Fitr under guidelines of provincial government.
It is pertinent to mention that the last races took place exactly three months back on March 5 and since then there has been no activity.
While on one hand the closure is multiplying the KRC losses, on the other it has made lives of a number of poor people connected to the equine sport miserable.
