BAHAWALPUR: Malik Muhammaf Irfan Ghalloo, flight steward of the crashed PIA Airbus, was laid to rest in Ismailpur, a village near Uch Sharif, in Ahmedpur East tehsil, on Thursday.

His remains were brought to Uch by road from Karachi late on Wednesday night. His brother Malik Farrukh Ghalloo received the coffin from PIA officials in Karachi earlier on Wednesday.

His funeral prayers were largely attended by area people while PIA was represented by Bahawalpur PIA station manager Mansoor Ahmed Lodhi and Bahawalpur airport district manager Muhammad Ghazanafar.

Ghalloo left behind widow Swazish Aurengzeb, who is serving as an airhostess in the national carrier, and two sons.
