LAHORE: Five members of a family, including two children, suffered injuries after the roof of their house collapsed due to rain at Manga Mandi on Sunday.

The incident occurred when six members of the family were present there. Of them, five got trapped under the debris. The Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the site in special vehicles, rescued the trapped people and shifted them to hospital.

The injured were identified as Shakeela, 45, Salman, 23, Zeenat, 22, Zarmina, 12, and Saeed, 4.

The condition of all of them is stated to be normal. A police official said the roof of the house was made of wood.
