Actor Uzma Khan on Thursday filed a complaint against women whom she claimed were the daughters of business tycoon Malik Riaz after the women allegedly broke into Khan's living space with gunmen and instigated violence.

Numerous videos have been circulating on social media, first of the actor and her sister being yelled at by a woman who accuses Khan of having an affair with her husband, Usman.

However, more disturbing videos surfaced later which showed the women breaking into Khan's home with guards who are seen groping and harassing the actor along with beating her and throwing decorative items made of glass at the actor.

Many took to social media to speak up about the matter, calling out the power dynamics involved and sparking discourse on privilege and patriarchy.

Joining them are some celebrities who are expressing their outrage over the violence.

Why uzma khan medical is not done and violence done by women proved. They already have acted late on 27th May and this incident took on 23rd May. Court will require strong evidence of abuse they both suffered

Three women assault another women. For the pseudo this is a lesson that the bigger issue in our country is the divide between influential people and normal people rather than between men and women.

All Pakistani celebrities can make there point on social media but wont have the courage to come out of their comfort zone to stand up against mafia. Hypocrisy at its highest level

An unfortunate incident. But more than that, we as a nation have lost any sense of moral compass. There is no control on actions of individuals, misuse of social media and worse is ease of access of all the content available to any age group. In the end, failure of our so called departments is evident beyond comprehension.

Good one. You guys need to stand for your rights and against these thugs. You make sure that they should get what they deserve. These thugs have made a mess and mockery of this country and it’s laws.

Mahira has spoken my mind: let's not confuse the two things: infidelity and elitist mindset. It's for individuals to decide what they are going to do when their spouses turn out to be unfaithful; it's for State to decide how it punishes those violently entering into someone's residence. There should be no 'extenuating circumstances' in a case like this.

So what’s surprising. A lot of these Pakistani aunties come into departmental stores and treat staff like absolute dirt. Almost all talk in harsh tone. Yet we criticise on Twitter.

So it is acceptable to most of their community to have extramarital affairs? Are they not the same people who cry for women's rights? Was that wife not a women?

Simple rule - you don’t physically touch any man woman or child. That should amount to physical abuse and the culprit should be thrown in jail. You can speak, y’all, shout all you want but DO NOT touch anyone.

Where are the men? May 30, 2020 04:33pm
If you notice, all of them are women who stood up for Uzma. Mahira, Mehwish, Hania... they are all A-listers. It needs courage to go out and support sisterhood against the corrupt! And of course, Adnan Malik, Fahad Mirza, Usman Mukhtar and Osman Khalid are also there; they are only exceptions in this patriarchal industry who take a stand every time there is something wrong. My question is: Where are the A-list actors, superstars whose words can make a strong case now? Fahad Mustafa, Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui? Comfortable in their homes, attending game shows. That is where their social responsibility ends. Shame, shame, shame! Mahira and Mehwish are role models for our young generations, their spirit is fire!!

Actually in both the videos the camera-person is at fault. These domestic issues have no place on social media. It's like people need to see more drama cuz they haven't got enough of Ertrugul or the current drama-queen politicians *triple facepalms*

The hidden culture of our society is exposed yet we want this pandemic to end. This is not socially and religiously acceptable behavior. Its time for each one of us to reflect on what we are doing in our lives. Men in our society finds it so easy to be disloyal with the one whom he married upon his own will and choice. We all are equal citizens. They could have gone through formal lines and make both of them accountable for their acts. Taking law in your own hands is not justified in anyway!

Law isn't concerned about personal issues. Trespass and violence are both very serious offences and everyone guilty must be given at least 5 years in jail.
