After human smuggling, it is now evident that local and foreign currencies are also smuggled through domestic and international flights. It is obvious that every air-traffic passenger has to put his luggage in scanning machines installed at domestic and international departure and arrival lounges. The scanning machines are to check if any passenger is not carrying contraband item which is not allowed under IATA rules. Carrying currency in bulk is not allowed by any passenger unless he is been allowed by the relevant authorities in black and while. After the crash, Rangers found more than 32 million local currency from one bag alone, apart from gold, jewellry and other valuables. Rangers handed over all valuables to PIA. After the news became public there are three different people who are claiming the bulk amount of currency. Hope PIA management will keep valuables in safe custody and any thing will not miss from PIA's possession from list of items handed over to PIA by Rangers.
