Commissioner retired Capt Mohammad Mehmood told Dawn that the number of patients is increasing. He said that of the 2,588 patients reported in the division’s four districts, 2,234 were from the Rawalpindi district alone.

However, he said it was encouraging that of the 1,125 patients who have recovered in the division, 894 were from Rawalpindi.

He said there are 409 people being treated in the main hospitals in the division, while 959 patients without symptoms are isolated in their homes.
