Nida Yasir and Yasir Nawaz test positive for Covid-19

The cast members of Mera Dil Dushman who appeared on Nida's morning show also got tested.
Updated 25 May, 2020

Nida Yasir, Yasir Nawaz and actor Naveed Raza have all tested positive for coronavirus.

"Only Yasir, our daughter and I are positive, not my crew," clarified Nida in a conversation with Images. "I have no symptoms but Yasir has fever. My son tested negative."

Nida had been shooting her morning show, Good Morning Pakistan where the cast of Mera Dil Mera Dushman appeared as guests for promotions. That includes Nawaz, Raza, Alizey Shah, Noaman Sami and Anam Tanveer.

"I pushed them all to get tested," explained Raza. "There must have been a carrier on set."

Tanveer has shared that she has tested negative for the novel virus. Images has reached out to Shah and Sami and awaits a response.

Previously, the morning show host came under scrutiny when public gatherings were prohibited and a makeup competition was held during the pandemic with no regards to social distancing.

Currently, the entire team, and staff who came in contact with Nida, is being tested and are requested to stay in till results come out.

Very unfortunate. The must immediately isolate themselves and do not take any chances. Let us hope their co-actors are not infected.

They are positive because they were tested. No big deal. Half the country is probably positive by now.

Hope the sense of responsibility prevails. If you isolate yourself you will definitely inspire other common people to follow you. The celebrities , religious head and influential people must spread awareness as people know very little about this deadly disease.

Why in the first place the shows were continued to be held? This is what happens when you do not follow the protocol given by WHO and the Government.

These two tools dont seem to understand social distancing or Covid-19. Very shameful that they are now risking other people life. Ignorance is not bliss in this case.
