ISLAMABAD, Aug 31: Federal Minister for Information Technology Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari on Wednesday sought partnership between Japanese IT firms and Pakistan’s software houses to produce high- end products and services that could later be outsourced by the international market.
“Pakistan is an ideal place for Japanese investment. The Japanese companies that have invested in Pakistan have been able to reap great benefits, reflected by the high ratio of return for their businesses,” he said while talking to a team of businessmen from the Marubeni Company — a major conglomerate with over 5,000 employees worldwide.
The minister highlighted the growth achieved by Pakistan in various sectors and said the telecom sector was leading the way to an economic turnaround in the country.
“It is the right time for companies to take advantage of the positive economic conditions and investment opportunities in Pakistan,” Mr Leghari observed.
