SUKKUR: It is understood that Mr. Ridley, Chief Secretary to the Government of Sind, would be examined next week as a court witness in the case against Khan Bahadur Khuhro.
When the case was resumed today [April 6], Muhammad Khan, approver in the first Allah Bux murder case, was cross-examined by Mr. A.K. Soomji, defence counsel. Muhammad Khan said that he could not remember the exact date or month of his arrest since a long time had elapsed. He had agreed to murder Allah Bux because the whole company had agreed and he, being there, could not do otherwise.
Continuing, he said that he had learnt the name of Daresh, approver, in this case, during his stay at Khan Bahadur Khuhro’s “Keti” but subsequently he forgot it and did not remember it at the time of giving his statement to the Police and the District Magistrate. He subsequently recollected his name with much effort. The cross-examination of Muhammad Khan had not concluded when the court adjourned till Monday.
