KARACHI, Aug 31: The city government has re-constituted its committee for disposal of different categories of plots and flats falling under the jurisdiction of its Revenue group of offices through public auction.

According to a notification issued by the city government’s caretaker and DCO Karachi, the committee has been assigned the task of compiling a comprehensive report, showing current position of recoveries made by the city government in respect of plots auctioned by the CDGK, especially during the last three years.

The committee has also been asked to hold public auction of the CDGK’s plots and flats strictly in accordance with the prescribed bye-laws.

The committee is headed by the EDO Revenue and its members include EDO Finance and Planning, Works and Services, Law and Master Plan.

DEMOLITION: The KBCA has cancelled the licence (No BL-309) of Ms Unique Builders for violating building laws in Al-Haram Shopping Centre, being built on Plot No PR-1,22, Preedy Quarters, Saddar. The KBCA has also advised public not to enter into any transaction with the above mentioned project.

Meanwhile, KBCA spokesman said a demolition team has sealed the premises of Plot No 187-1-F, PECHS Block 2, Jamshed Town, as illegal construction was taking place there.

The demolition squad has demolished a tandoor and sealed Shop No 1 of Faisal Apartment, Gulshan-i-Iqbal in which the tandoor was set up unlawfully, the spoksman said.
