THE government has announced a relief package for the poor in the ongoing coronavirus crisis. Not only the federal and provincial government, but non-government organisations and hundreds of philanthropists have also stepped forward to assist the less fortunate to survive in the prevalent crisis.
Unfortunately, there is one downside. It is disheartening to see some of these acts of people receiving assistance being shown on the mass media.
Even if it is broadcast, the faces of the people receiving charity should be blurred in the pictures. Such thoughtless actions prevent many people from seeking aid, as they are reluctant to have their picture taken while accepting charity.
This is a request to all that the dignity of the less fortunate be maintained as respect is the right of every citizen.
