Service contract

KARACHI, Aug 31: The government has extended the service contract of Captain Anwar Shah, Director General, Ports and Shipping Wing, Ministry of Ports and Shipping for a period of two years with effect from July 20, 2005 to July 19, 2007.

During his last two year’s tenure Captain Anwar Shah managed to regain country’s image and status in maritime world fora like IMO and ILO. The Secretary General of IMO placed the DG Ports and Shipping on his export panel list and subsequently elevated him to the post of Governor, World Maritime University, Malmoa, says a press release.
