TAXILA, Aug 30: Pakistani squash coach Rehmat Khan on Tuesday has said that the Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) were preparing a new team of squash players so that the country could regain its lost glory in the game.

Talking to Dawn at Jehangir Khan squash complex at Wah Cantt, Rehmat said “Certainly we have not overcome the gap left by Jahangir Khan and Jansher Khan but we are striving hard to prepare a squad of young and junior players to regain the lost glory in the next couple of years.”

He said that we expect that Yasir Butt and Basit Ishfaq would become future star.

Rehmat lauded the POF administration for holding women squash tournament as he viewed that such event would play pivotal role in the promotion of women squash in the country.

He said that the event which is first of its kind would give opportunities to women squash players to groom and enhance their potential after competitions against international players.
