KARACHI, Aug 30: Three vessels carrying containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Thor Captain, Yang Jiang He, to unload and load containers, Swat, to offload crude oil, Kang Fu, to offload yellow peas, and Durbam Queen, to offload bitumen, were berthed.

Five ships, Iran Kordestan, Astor, Maersk Alaska, Itha Bhum and Piemonte, departed on Tuesday, while Al-Marwah, Yang Jiang He, Swat and Song Shi Hai are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was relatively slow, falling to 66,790 tons comprising 10,792 tons of export cargo and 55,998 tons of import cargo.

The following vessels are due on Wednesday: Kota Teraju, Y.M. Star, and Hyundai Future, with containers.
