LONDON: Oil prices plunged on Monday to an 18-year low as the number of novel coronavirus cases worldwide surged past 700,000.
Crude oil struck the lowest levels since 2002, with Brent tumbling to $21.65 at one point. The WTI briefly fell below $20.
