UPPER DIR: The locals, who had gone to other cities for work, are entering the district using unmanned routes, triggering apprehensions among the people about the spread of Covid-19.

The people complained that residents of various areas of Upper Dir were entering their home district using mountains and other unfrequented routes on foot other than the main entry point at Akhgram.

The residents said the unchecked entry had been continuing for last few days. They said they had complained to the district administration through social media several times to check the practice, but to no avail.

Meanwhile, the police on Saturday arrested 18 passengers hiding in truck in Jabar area of Usheri Darra.

It is to mention here that the truck had travelled a distance of 25 kilometres after passing the Akhgram entry point.
