Employees held over protest for salary

UPPER DIR: Police here on Wednesday arrested scores of newly appointed Class-IV employees of the district headquarters hospital over their protest against the district account officer for not releasing their salaries.
The protesters gathered outside the account office and chanted slogans against the officer for not releasing their salaries despite lapse of two months. They alleged that the DAO was not releasing their salaries at the behest of a prominent political leader.
Later, police came to the account office and arrested the protesters. SHO Hamayun Khan said that police were called on the request of DAO. He said that the protesters violated ban on gatherings.

1 trillion Rupee relief package? Now it seems like a joke and a false promise, doesn't it? Come on guys be realistic. This is the reality. The package has been announced with no budget. Hoping expat Pakistanis would donate in these difficult times as they did for that beautiful dam, which is producing so mucho electricity and irrigating millions and millions of hectares.
