KARACHI: The trio of Pak Greens, National Club and Dolphins Club cruised into the semi-finals of Veterans Hockey league at Dr. M. A. Shah-Olympian Islahuddin Hockey Academy the other day.

Pak Greens outplayed Nazimabad Mujahid 8-0.Former Olympian Sameer Hussain and former international Mohammad Ali slammed two goals apiece while ex-Olympians Kashif Jawwad, Qamar Ibrahim and Ayaz Mahmood besides Abuzar added one goal each.

In the second quarter-final, National Club carved out a 4-2 victory over DHA Hyderabad. Ex-Olympians Kamran Ashraf, Mohammad Anees besides Mohammad Yousuf, and Ishtiaq Mubeen scored one goal each for the winners. MohammadAsif and Mohammad.Jawid scored once for the losers.

The third quarter-final was played between Airport Veterans and Cantt Combined. Airport Veterans emerged victorious by 2-0. Asif Ismail and M.Faisal from the victorious team scored one goal each.

Dolphina Club chalked up a 2-0 victory over Karachi Tigers in the third quarter-final with Muzammil and Zahid Faruqi scoring a goal each.

The semi-finals will be played on March 15 and the final on March 21.
