ISLAMABAD, Aug 24: Federal Minister for Industries, Production and Special Initiatives Jahangir Khan Tareen has asked the Engineering Development Board (EDB) for working out measures to introduce Pakistani engineering sector to the entire world.

Presiding over a meeting of the EDB to review its performance during the March-August 2005 here on Wednesday, the minister appreciated the progress of the engineering sector and expressed the need to introduce it to the world so that the Pakistani engineering sector could benefit from the state-of-the-art technologies already introduced in the world.

The minister urged the EDB for focussing more upon quality and accuracy of delivery of goods, an official announcement said.

The minister was apprised of the recent visit of Pakistan steel delegation to India and signing of seven MoUs between the two countries. Mr Tareen emphasized the need for developing steel research institute in the country.

He was also apprised about the new slogan of the EDB “Dunya Hamari Mandi” (the world is our market), added the announcement.
