SHEIKHUPURA: Three minors died on Sunday when the debris of a building that was being demolished fell on them in Taragarh locality in Nankana district.

According to locals, Hanif, Sadique and others were dismantling an old building to reconstruct it, when a portion of it collapsed on six-year-old Leyza, Saghir (8) and Mariam (7).

The three children were playing near the building that was being demolished, they said.

The children’s parents and other locals after hectic efforts pulled out them from the rubble, but they had already died.

Nankana Sadar police are investigating.

CAMPAIGN: The deputy commissioner launched spring campaign by planting a sapling in the local government high school.

Addressing the schoolchildren, teachers and other staff of education department, DC Sidra Younas said they should make the campaign successful by planting saplings in their house and other places to save environmnet.
