TURKISH President Recep Tayyip Erdogan while addressing the joint session of parliament for a record fourth time, once again reaffirmed and reassured his support for Pakistan. He staunchly supported Islamabad’s stance on Kashmir and lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan’s efforts for highlighting the Kashmir issue before the world.
During his speech he condemned the excesses committed by Indian occupation forces against the Kashmiri people as the worst form of tyranny and crimes against humanity. The Turkish president vowed to stand with the Kashmiri peoples and Pakistan.
President Erdogan recalled and acknowledged the tireless efforts of the subcontinent’s Muslim leaders for the restoration of Khilafat in the 20th century.
He paid tributes to the Pakistani nation for waging war against terrorism and appreciated the efforts of the present government in playing a pivotal role to bring peace in Afghanistan.
President Erdogan’s visit shows Pakistan’s stance over Kashmir is gaining acceptance in the region. Other nations, particularly Muslim countries should also support Pakistan’s stance if they are sincere about having peace in the world.
