ISLAMABAD: A National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) official was killed in a road accident during rescue work on M-2.

An NHMP spokesman said Assistant Patrolling Officer Noor Mohammad was responding to an accident between two trucks near Sial Mor on M-2. One of the drivers had fallen asleep while driving and crashed his vehicle into another truck, he added. As a result three people were injured. On getting information the officials of NHMP reached the spot and started rescue work.

In the meantime, a bus hit Noor Mohammad as a result of which he was seriously injured. The official was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Pindi Bhattian where he died.
