LAHORE: The Punjab government has constituted yet another three-member committee led by law minister Basharat Raja to discuss former premier Nawaz Sharif’s application for extension in bail and his health-related updates.

A meeting of the committee that includes health minister Dr Yasmin Rashid and home secretary as its members was scheduled for Tuesday (today), but it was postponed owing to the arrival of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in Lahore to launch anti-polio vaccination campaign.

It may be mentioned that Mr Sharif’s personal physician Dr Adnan had earlier shared former prime minister’s medical reports twice, but the Punjab government’s medical board declared both reports as incomplete.

Later, it is learnt that Dr Adnan had also written a letter to the Punjab government but it brushed aside the letter, saying it carried “no legal value”.
